Via Maidenbowling, a Mumbai Indians ad that weirdly ends with children running into Nita Ambani’s welcoming arms:
A few thoughts: 1) It’s strange because it starts off as a cricket ad, but then ends with the players making a pitch for universal education. 2) I’ve already written about Ambani’s growing role in the Mumbai Indians, and my conflicted feelings about the development. Either she wants her role to be acknowledged — and I have no beef with that — or the team thinks that putting forth an inspiring female role model (wife-slash-businesswoman-slash-charity queen) will appeal to the women in the audience (since that was the breakout market IPL I first discovered).
